Why use CAT?
CAT or Cognitive Abilities Test identifies a pupil’s individual strengths, needs and learning preferences, providing you with a complete profile of their ability. It monitors trends or changes in the ability profile of an intake over time, allowing you to measure the added value that your school achieves. Standardised scores allow you to compare your pupils’ results along with group/class comparisons. It informs target-setting, the development of individual learning plans and aids the implementation of more timely intervention strategies, while providing a sound basis for comparisons over time.
Why use CAT Digital?
CAT Digital removes the burden of test administration, as all practice, instructions and timings are computer-administered. Instant scoring gives teachers results at the touch of a button, saving hours of marking time. Its accurate and reliable diagnostic reports are delivered straight to a teacher's desktop, enabling results to be analysed with ease and integrated with other school information, better informing target-setting at both individual and group level. Also, computer-based assessment often feels less daunting for pupils and fast feedback is proven to be more motivating.
CAT Scoring Service
The CAT Scoring and Delivery Service makes analysis simpler, quicker and more focused, guaranteeing a much higher level of accuracy in the marking, interpretation and calculation of scores. It delivers scores and reports within a maximum of 15 working days after receipt, ensuring there is no long wait before the assessment data can be fed back into the classroom. Data files are provided in Excel and CSV format and even PDF reports can be imported directly into your school's Management Information System, In addition, all of your data is stored on a secure system.
